Who am I?
I was named
Faliza binti
Mahamed Ali by both of my parents.
My lovely hometown?
My lovely hometown will be
Bandaraya Shah Alam, Selangor
Darul Ehsan. There I reside at No. 5, Jalan Belalang Lapan 20/7H,
Seksyen 20 with my family.
When did I first step
my foot on earth?
I was born on
13 March 1980
right at 11.25 am....I am a morning gal!
What does my star say?
Based on my birthdate, I was
respectfully assigned under the
Pisces
zodiac.
Which schools did
I go before?
I got to know my first ABC's at
Sekolah Rendah
Kebangsaan Shah Alam Seksyen 16 in 1987. After I had gone through my
childhood days for six years, I transferred to another level in my life
which is the adolescence stage in 1992 and that is in Sekolah
Menengah Kebangsaan Seksyen 11, Shah Alam for another five years.
Those eleven years of labour with school textbooks, constant yelling from
the teachers, tough exams and reaching puberty, proved fruitful to me as
they had taught me so many lessons of life.
Where are my alma
maters?
I obtained my diploma from
Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah
Alam after I have passed my SPM with flying colours. I took
Diploma in Hotel Management and then continued my studies to degree with
the same course and at the same university. Currently, I am studying for my
masters degree at Universiti
Utara Malaysia, Sintok, Kedah in Tourism and Hospitality
Management and hopefully to finish it by the end of this year... I am
crossing my fingers for that!
Experience in life?
In my working experience, I had gone
through several interesting, unique and strange experiences in life where I
need to deal with people from all sorts of background. Those were when I
went through several different jobs either for permanent or temporary. I
have worked as an assistant clerk at
Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam
where I learnt how to manage my work and time. I had also worked as a
full time staff at 1901 Sdn
Bhd where beside I learnt how to make yummy hotdogs, I also
managed to polish my entrepreneurship skills. Pheww, it is really not easy
to be successful! I can imagine what Tengku Rozidar had gone through. My
last job experience was when I managed to be in my former teachers and
lecturers' shoes. I taught at
Institut Hospitaliti Yayasan Pelajaran Johor for about one year.
To be able to teach is another thing, but to become a good educator is
something that you need to have courage to accompany with. I managed to
teach several subjects which are connected to my field. So, here is my
battlefield where I took the opportunity to sharpen back my memory to what I
have learnt during my studies years and make full use of it. :D
Pages to turn to?
I have several reading materials which
I like to indulge into but currently I am so into Harry Potter series.
Yes, yes, yes...I know that I am being old-fashioned and Harry Potter was
way past Da Vinci Code, but after watching all the movies, I began to think
that there must be something really intriguing about this young Harry which
has made all those girls who haven't even reached puberty are so crazy about
him. Indeed, I was right! You have to read the books in order for you to
understand what I mean *wink*. Besides that, reading them does help improve
my English vocabulary. Until now, I have read Harry Potter and the
Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry
Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I am still going through
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I still have two more books to
finish before the last book come out.
Wheel of Reels?
Definitely my top priority list for my
favourite movies will be all the
Harry Potter
movies! Do not blame me for that guys, blame JK Rowling! :D By the
way, I love Lord of the
Rings trilogies as well...
Karaoke anyone?
My favourite all time croon will be an
oldies Malay song titled ~Suratan
atau Kebetulan~ by Flybaits. It might sound cliche but to me, the
lyric has deep meaning. It is about things which might happen in your life.
Those things which happen that might make you happy and even sad. It is the
case of either former or latter happens because you choose it to
happen or it chooses to happen...
Light and Easy for my ears?
I love
R&B, sentimental and
others. I am very soft at heart, you know!
Couch Potatoes
anyone?
Grissom, Horatio and Mac are my three
favourite heroes and characters from my three favourite TV shows
CSI Vegas, Miami and
New York. You guys rock! It is just that whenever I watch any
of the three shows, I will be imagining that I am one of the detectives in
the forensic team. Each series has its own identity. Grissom and Vegas are
very much on how you use your instincts and brain, Horatio and Miami are on
how you follow what your heart says and Mac and New York are very much the
old school gang; use your textbook and follow the procedures from A-Z. So
far, these are what I thought about these three gentlemen and their
respective teams.
Marlon Brando vs Audrey
Hepburn?
Actually I am not a fan to any of them
listed above (no offence), however I do love watching
Kevin Spacey, Rosyam Nor, Sandra
Bullock and Ellie
Suriaty whenever they are on screen. These guys I think are the most talented and
gifted actors in the world. The way they adapt to their roles are simply
magnificent. They will change automatically becoming the characters in their
movies.
My angels?
As any other Malaysian, I love to
listen to Siti Nurhaliza.
To me, Siti is not a good performer, but she has this voice which will make
you stop doing anything whenever she starts singing. That is my
interpretation about Siti's voice and that is why I choose her. Besides
that, I love listening to
Raihan as
well. I think they have the most harmonious voice to be compared with other
singing groups. Another thing, I salute them because of their ability.
Although they are not always on the front cover of the newspaper just
because they have performed in a certain privilege hall, but to me they are
the one who have done our country proud. They have performed in front of
Queen Elizabeth and she was the one who requested for them. Wow!
My Idols?
Well, I have two people in mind whom I
would really love to meet and have a tete-a-tete with them. First, I would
like to meet our former Prime Minister,
Tun Dr Mahathir. I
would like to know what is on his mind. What does he have in future for
Malaysia if he was still the Prime Minister? What is his favourite food and
get to know him better. Secondly, I would love to meet
Bill Gates the
excellent genius in the computer world. I would like to know why did he drop
out from Harvard? How did he manage and what does it take to become so
successful like now?
WHAT ABOUT ME???
To sum it all up, fortunately, I am not
a cry baby like the baby on the top of this page. I am a very simple gal
actually. I enjoy having friends and family around me. I love what I am
about to be after I have graduated. I am quite determined. Whenever I want
to achieve something, I will make sure that I try my very best. Some of my
friends said that I am quite serious especially if I am in the middle of
doing something; be it playing my favourite PC football game, doing my
assignments, reading or even watching. I might not even realize that someone
is talking to me whenever I am so into something. So, that might be my
weakness, I guess. Overall, you can count on me whenever you need something.
I will definitely do my best to help you! That is who I am!
